For over 40 years, Ces & Judy’s Catering has been creating unforgettable experiences all over St. Louis. We’ve had the honor of serving countless weddings, corporate gatherings, and special celebrations, bringing people together over incredible food and exceptional service. As we’ve grown, we’ve refined our menus and expanded our offerings to reflect the unique tastes of our community while staying true to the quality and hospitality that have made us a St. Louis favorite. From elegant receptions to lively celebrations, we’re here to make every event truly special.

More Than Our Food
Beyond caterers, we have our very own venue. Opened in 2018, The Venue at Maison du Lac
is a sophisticated, modern event space with stunning views that transport you to the French countryside. Accommodating up to 300 guests, it’s the perfect setting for weddings, receptions, corporate galas, and social gatherings.

Our History
What started as a neighborhood café in the Central West End has grown into one of St. Louis’s most respected and enduring catering companies. Having served hundreds of weddings and events across St. Louis for over the last 45 years, Ces & Judy’s Catering is known for providing exceptional dining experiences paired with personalized service.
1981
Ces and Judy opened a charming restaurant in a historic Central West End home, featuring a large outdoor café with seating for 175 guests.
1983
Began a catering partnership with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, offering boxed dinners, special event meals, and full bar service during the six-week season, an annual tradition we proudly continue today.
1984
Took on the exclusive catering contract at the Missouri Botanical Garden, creating a full-service catering and concessions program, as well as managing the Visitor Center restaurant.
1986
Closed our Central West End café to focus fully on growing opportunities with the Garden, Opera Theatre, and other major St. Louis organizations. While It was the end of the beginning, our story has only grow since.
1989
Opened the Painted Giraffe Café at the St. Louis Zoo, and developed a custom catering program for zoo events.
1994
Moved into a 12,000 sq. ft. facility at Le Chateau Village, offering a large kitchen and meeting space that became our home base for nearly 25 years.
1996
Became the exclusive caterer for the Eric P. Newman Education Center at Washington University Medical Center, serving events ranging from 10 to 350 guests, six days a week.
1999
Concluded our time at the Missouri Botanical Garden after 15 successful years, having built a thriving on-site program.
2003
Transitioned the Painted Giraffe Café to in-house zoo operations while continuing to provide catering services for zoo functions.
2018
Relocated to a kitchen and office space on German Boulevard in Frontenac, which continues to serve as our current headquarters. That same year, we also opened our own event venue in Pacific, MO, The Venue at Madison Du Lac.
2019
Wrapped up our time at the Eric P. Newman Education Center after more than two decades of exclusive food and beverage service.
2022
Refreshed our brand with a new logo and website, embracing a modern look that reflects our commitment to elegance, hospitality, and quality service.
